Now ist official and online:

Luginsland. Fotos. Ideen. Gedanken.

I am so glad to start with new ideas and to have a concept again to take photos for! The concept is quite open and I have to see how it will develop. I can only say that I will be curious about myself, about possible motives and that I will keep my eyes open. Dear Blogfriends, I hope you take a look at it although it won't be about Kiel, at least not directly. Its not impossible that I will publish something from Kiel in the new blog whenever I might be there again.

Shot in April. I did not know that I would leave Kiel so quickly but I already sensed that it would happen sooner or later.

Dear Blogfriends,

it has become silent in this blog. The reason is that I had to leave Kiel and I am now living in Bremen. There will be a new blog with a different concept, maybe a Bremen Blog too, but I still have to think about it. I will post the links as soon as possible and maybe a few photos from my archive. I will miss Kiel as it was a great place to live in and an even greater object to shoot but I am looking forward anyway to the new motives that will cross my way!

Organic food shop

Shot here. I walked past it a thousand times, went in there today for the first time and had a nice chat with the shopman about photography.

Atlantic Hotel

Shot yesterday at the main station five minutes before the fireworks finishing the "Kieler Woche" started. Although it was close to midnight the sky was amazingly bright and seemed brighter to me than in the last years before at this evening. Quite a quiet end of a lavish celebration.

Kieler Woche

After a long and very successful trip I arrived in Kiel yesterday. Today I tried to enjoy the rest of the "Kieler Woche" and took a long walk through masses and masses of human beings in the golden evening sunlight. The crowd was really overdimensional and I didn't feel well in it so I had difficulties to shoot photos with inner calmness. Finally I was fascinated by something very typical for Kiel: a boat. To look up to the blue sky was delightful and released me from the jostle on the ground. The Russian seamen where working on their mast as if no ground at all existed or as if they didn't even know about the existence of the ground. And then this bottle passed by...

Backyard VI

I rushed past this colourful backyard, then stopped and returned. It belongs to a store that sells antique furniture und second hand articles. It remembered me a little bit of those pictures where you are supposed to search one specific small item with your eyes between a lot of details.

Moorteichwiese

Today I was stunned by the full, vivid and wild nature in the middle of the inner city. I walked through the high grass and flowers and forgot everything around me as if there was nothing else in this world but sweet nature. Welcome summer!

Bike

This is an advertisement that encourages Kiel citizens to protect the environment and go by bike. I wonder whether the owner noticed where he placed his bycicle. I saw it in the dawn but could not resist to take the photo immediately not knowing whether it would be still there tomorrow.

Way

This way leads to the wonderful beach in Schilksee. Taken in the evening sunlight.

Last night I sat in the the Cafe exlex and recognized this amazing wall with pictures painted by the guests.

Here I am and I start with my favourite motive... I have so many ideas I can't wait to realize them as soon as possible!

I actually wanted to take a totally different photo today but it didn't work out. Disappointed I walked home and on my way I noticed this nice window near Ziegelteich.

Flower Shop

Today I took a walk through the Holtenauer Straße in the early evening and I enjoyed the sunlight that fell through the clouds. How wonderful that it does not become dark so early anymore and that it is possible to take a photo with warm sunlight in the evening hours!

Backyard III

I've been looking at this small barrack for two years from my kitchen window but until now I never had the idea to take a photo of it. Fortunately there was this gorgeous sunbeam falling on it as most time of the day the hut lays in the shadow of the surrounding houses.

Technical problems

There is something totally wrong with the time that is showed under the blogposts and I did not find the reason yet. I hope I can fix it quickly. Unfortunately the date is not true either so that the posts partly look as if they were made on the same day or as if there were breaks. The newest entry is not even showed as the newest one so please don't wonder!

Backyard II

I was really in a bad mood when I was hurrying past this backyard and just by coincidence I noticed it. When I shot it I was surprised by its beauty and was able to calm down and feel better. I am crazy about backyards at the moment and I'm sure there will be others following...

Trees

This street lays on the outer edge of Südfriedhof very close to Hassee and it's beautifully green there.

House wall

Today there were many clouds hanging in the sky but in the late afternoon they drifted away and the sky became unexpectedly really blue. This house wall belongs to the same houses I shot yesterday but today I took the photo from the other side. The street lays close to my home and I see something interesting there nearly every time I pass it.

O what a sunny spring day!

Finally it has become warm. I was not the only one who was taking photos of this nice little park. I already saw the flourishing trees last night and decided today to take a photo of them in the afternoon sunlight.
